seasonal rain flows down mountains
ravishing valleys and those who live
in the lowlands - act of God -
or is it just a coincidence?
religious destruction dangerously
deployed in the south gives rise to
those who are forsaken and those
who desire forsakenness...
we are strange in our beliefs
even stranger in our understandings,
blame not equally shared but addressed
in bits and pieces of our beliefs...
we drown in this misunderstanding,
raising up the banner of doubt,
looking into the future for answers
not the past or our heritage or by those
who try to direct our minds...
we are the children of children of those
children unsatisfied with those who
tried to control of destiny because
of the relentless, damaging rainfall.
