Enlightenment

arrives at dawn
when we least expect it
with the chores and
routines of the day...
it ushers in sunlight
from the dreary darkness
opening minds
both young and old
new insights
courage
removing poisons from
the previous day
encounters and 
extraditions...
it cleanses the mind
of rituals
long since followed
admonishing
their likeness to the
hidden truth,
calculating the exploits
of those who failed in
preserving our world.
