greed regulates and perpetuates
our lives
not much different
than
cockroaches who have
survived for
thousands of years;
false
harmonies have been
our battle
cry as we take what
belongs to
others because we can
while
spitting our platitudes
of equality,
truth, and justice;
sad that we
are who we are but
still too
insufficient for us to change.
