Otherwise

a darkened room
a surreal ceiling
transparent walls
and a dirt floor
complement my
morning thoughts
as well as can be
expected this cool
fall day of the
same year that
brought me to my
senses, leaving me
with the notion that
life will never be
kind to those who
see it otherwise.
