Whether it is sixteen or twenty-one
our journey has been filled
with memories only
read about in books as
two different people became one;
from contemplation to frustration,
our love has been tested
and always in crisis we merge,
resolving and dissolving
all issues affecting our keep;
we stand more than united
neither falling or dividing
even when perceptions
may influence us otherwise;
transfixed and determined
resolved and resounding remain
indebted and embedded within
each other's minds and souls.
