sexy and beautiful
is the night that
passes more quickly
than the rest,
leaving us sleepy
and a little uneasy,
as now exposed
to those who would
have their way and
to whom we obey,
finding solace in the
notion that charity
no longer despairs
but cherishes the dead
as if they were family.
