Dirty

the carpet of life
that lays on my floor
is in need of cleaning
so I must forfeit
all so that life
continues to lay
on the floor forever
undisturbed
and unremoved
and uncleansed
as it collects the
dirt of sin that
all of us leave
behind each day.
