Long Before

possibilities exist
inside our heads
                           that seem foolish
                           to the old, but
                                                   their time has
                                                   come and gone
                                                                            and ours
                                                                            has just begun
                                                                                                    even though
                                                                                                    it has not been
                                                                                                                             earned and
                                                                                                                             never will as
                                                                                                                             all was given
                                                                                                                             long before now.
