along the walls of Jericho
an army marched,
the stones rumbled and moved
tumbling to the ground,
soldiers marched in...
bodies and blood on the ground,
along the walls of Mars colony
the winds howled,
pulling and pushing ferociously,
no brick and mortar were they
on the ground they lay,
aliens entered and those who
were there perished violently,
along the walls of my thoughts
tears of joy stream,
new and bold are the ideas
stolen each and every one as
I was sleeping and dreaming,
now the emptiness haunts
the image of who I was,
desire skips over me like a
vaulting tornado - hiding inside
its turbulence are the memories
of those who came before me
and those who stole the syrup
from all the maple trees.
