follow in their footsteps
if you follow at all,
teach like there's no tomorrow,
hide under the rugs all
those things of embarrassment
of which only you
has had to deal...
remember the moralities
of the past as they are
nowhere to be seen...
drown the babies first before
they are changed and
generations end the only
life they ever knew.
