the miller had his tales
mine not so entertaining,
miles above us hides the
visitors who have been
watching us for years...
observing... learning...
plotting to infiltrate
with rules and regulations,
solving the mysteries we
could only imagine...
telescopes we build
satellites we launch
expeditions we take
missions we plan into
the soul of Mars hoping
to fine the remains of
earlier visitors... when
they have already given
all that has been warranted,
we pray to the gods of
mercy and salvation,
believing they rejoice in
our successes as well as in
our failures, although we
are unsure of the latter.
