Lines Drawn

lines on both sides forming
metaphorically mental,
physicality stays at home,
words whip through minds
crusaders' swords returned,
unveiled anguish rests on
the shoulders - stubborn
and illusive people who
bind their feelings in
pseudo press releases only
one side wants to read,
democracy dying on the
battlefield of life - society
choses another way, not
listening to the prophets
or their subway messages,
previous mistakes remedied
with respectful glances,
drawing on the millions
have not what others have
nor likely to get it...  we
have the numbers and the
willingness to hold lines
for lifetimes if needed.
