death becomes us all
as we lay gracefully,
transfixed in our
silk-covered metal coffins,
ceremoniously prone
for easy viewing of all,
the passing of rubber-neckers
if we have any at all;
and, while our appetites
for life are finally gone,
our eyes are finally opened
to all the unanswered
questions we had asked earlier.
