Reflections: White Scorpion

from the top
of my mountain,
I look up
and am amazed
by the floor of
the sky,
resting gently
on layers of clouds,
preventing me
from clearly seeing
the future that
lies at my feet,
waiting for the birth
of virgin
inspiration.
