Circus Clowns

amid the pomp and ceremony
of Spring lies all creatures
great, small, and in between
whose lives depend upon
its masters tending properly
that which has been given,
yet, it is doubtful said care
will actually care at all
as they stroll down the
promenade caring more about
the spectacle created than
if it is going to rain this year.
