Keeping It

light penetrates a sleeping soul
rejuvenating it with no
expressions of doubt,
opening eyes,
opening mind,
opening to the will to be
in the midst of a
life that will not bend,
will not defend,
will not fight back
against those who were
meant to be opposed,
who were meant to be
anti-social,
who were meant to be
natural enemies of the faith;
the faith
of which we keep forever
and ever or
until light
penetrates no longer.
