tangled worms burrow
into the mind's dirty
ground, creating caverns
and tunnels into which
some memories are stored,
while others hand on walls
like valuable paintings
on display but not for sale,
unless they can be quickly
replaced by the stored ones;
and, such it is for those
who work in environments
of less than top grade soil.
