Casting Nets

it is not time that has

forsaken me,

but,

my own self...

it is not the control of

that I have felt,

but,

my own limitations;

and,

left to my own devices

have caste my

nets of blame

onto others

in the hopes of

using them to bait my

hooks of justification;

but,

how criminal my

own fears seem to be

and,

how pretty is

their indifference.
