Low Tide

rolling white waves
kiss and hug the
shoreline as lovers
might do...  fleeting
moments, almost
pointless before
returning back
into the sea from
whence they came;
rising sun,
to the left...
Southern waves
these be,
freely flowing currents
poised in front
waiting to be
photographed by an
unsuspecting tourist;
pirates plundered
these strong shores
years ago, taking
pleasures where they
found them, leaving
buried treasures
with the dead.
