snowmen on the mantleelves on the floor
a frosted tree in the corner
with mini Santa's hanging down;
holiday spirit is in the air
joyous feelings all around,
the smells of baking from the ovens
filters throughout our home;
this is the first Christmas
without both parents as our
mother just passed away and
while she left us with good fortunes,
she has been missed everyday.
