leave me with desires
leave me uncontrollable
but don't leave me at all;
leave dirty and down
leave me forsaken
leave me without remorse
just don't leave me today;
our love seems simple and kind
it is without reciprocation
it is furious and slow
it is without compensation;
today, we are loved
tomorrow, we are forgotten
yesterday, we were remembered
and no photos live on our walls;
we have perished in unanimity
and will not survive until a
new sun passes overhead and
we are dried out once again.
