GULL'S THRILLS
on currents of air
they fly,
white sleekness
diving and soaring,
heads and tails pointed
tucked in feet
wings tilted,
up or down
left or right,
resting in the moment
on the sand or
in the air...
wings of flight
do they take,
gliding on water's edge
surfing its gravity,
so close and lean
true to form,
as ever seen...
motion beauty
by viewers seen,
on the ground sitting,
marveling in the
gull's confidence
and skill, avoiding
hurt as they are
addicted to the thrill.
