as we attempt atonement for all
the evil and madness we have loosed
on the world causing an imbalance;
the ancient spirit knows well the
hearts of men...
how they take and never return
until something is taken from them
displaying a brief period of forgiveness;
the ancient spirit no longer dwells
in the hearts of men for many moons now
but a few seek guidance once again
in the hopes of regaining innocence.
