none of us want what we don't want; yet,
this is what we are consistently offered
each year by those who would be leaders,
guiding our principles of Democracy to
their liking while in protective custody
with bankers, financiers, and merchants,
leaving only the coastal ports of our
distant imaginations fee to explore outside
the liberties that we once held so dear.
