Escape

layers of invisible deceit
  cover my face as I step
     out from under its control,
        realizing a new life has begun
           for my thoughts and me,
              leaving behind only those
                 who would be Kings, Queens
                     & Princes in their own minds
                         and in their own lands,
                             now forbidden by me to
                                 never in my mind
                                      return...
