Longevity

sunshine through my window comes
soft, warm, and oh so reassuring,
casting shadows on the floor in which
the artist in me sees many faces...
to the touch, the glass is cool while
warmth surrounds me like a cocoon
of gentle harmony, relaxing all the
tensions felt in my mental muscles,
sunshine streams through the sunroom
as if hell bent on some direction
unknown to any of us nor disclosed
to those who watch us closely...
a time for challenge and answers
long overdue is what we hear on
the daily news - obviously aware of
nature's influence - we tetter on the
brink of too much information but
are reasonable with the weather...
sunshine enters into us through
the cracks in our vision glasses
have failed to correct, but sight is
only one aspect of the reality to which
we have grown accustomed to over
the years that we have lived here.
