wind and rain
fire and ice
ancient remedies
full of advice,
reluctant athletes
compete for prize,
talented attorneys
poorly defend clients,
rule of law
hardly ever enforced
illegals kill where
the law will not...
doctors prescribe pills
for the sick,
the sick sell the pills
for drugs...
we are at a crossroads
with our understandings,
taking for granted
more than we should,
divers swim the oceans
for strange fish,
adventurers follow
treasure maps where
fish no longer roam,
fire and ice hide
the wind and rain,
only to be seen as
mutually inconvenient.
