morning freeze
evening thaw
the heartland moves
to the east coast...
a winter push through
the southeast - than
western shores align,
treehouses and caves
alike bear the stigma
of early ages when
ice and snow ruled
the hemisphere
and monsters ruled
the lands on
which they walked
with confidence...
we are the admiration
of ancestors whose
lives no longer
dwell in situations
like those or any other
as we have matured
fighting wars with\
weapons not hands
with technology
not muscles...
a new breed we
have becomes,
evolving in the way
we fight and kill.
