they have lived together since
the beginning of time and before,
latent images in the minds
of our creator(s)...
one is incomplete without
the other by its side,
a contradiction or perhaps
a counterbalance?
we fear one but not the other,
not knowing, which is which,
striving to understand,
aging due to the decision
made inappropriately.
we harness faith and belief
as well as their opposites,
looking for redemption,
salvation, eternal life...
destined to struggle beside
the gates of hell, navigating
the Styx as though we were
born of the seas and oceans,
finding no solace in either.
we are twins, yet opposites
bound by fury or honor,
destined to fight for what we
don't understand or want to
bound by the mysteries of
nothingness and the void that
takes us to the final beyond.
