how proud we are to be
disloyal while exclaiming
compensation lacks merit;
how foolish we are to want
what we can never have
just to make the wheels turn;
how reckless we are in our
relationships so we can teach
our babies how to love and hate;
how selfish we are in our
deaths to leave behind a
suitcase full of bagged crimes.
