my mind
in the round
betrays me
as I
glance
for those who
understand
my
predicament;

my mind
in the round
sees more
than
it should
and
learns to
live
cross-eyed;

my mind
in the round
thinks
a little too
freely
to be
conservative
and too
restrictive
to be
liberal;

my mind
in the round
sings
a
silly song
as it
dances its
way
to
freedom.
