we share the same legacy
even though years apart,
worlds apart perhaps as well;
but, it is nice to know
and see the common threads
that have been woven
into what we wear and
what we must remove
to be lovers; or... is this
a silly gesture of boredom
that has brought us
into the same room
time-and-time again to
share discreet intimacies
without physical contact?
