We Always Suppose

it is all too brief a
moment when
realization and awareness
merge into singularity,
and,
when they do. a clarity
unlike any other
emerges instantly,
as clear as crystal
without surface glare,
and the mind deposits
actions throughout,
but waits...
for the precise moment
when it is too late
to return home
and...
it is within this hesitation
that we  risk
everything...   if,
and when the
slightest variation releases
calculations for which
it was unaccounted,
and we become
paralyzed completely by
the inescapable thought,
quickly...
but reluctantly while
walking away from it all
as we suppose it is
relived forever
like it has always
been done before.
