colorful leaves fall still dead
rains make roads slippery dangerous
life guards have packed up their saving stuff
ballers run sprints up and down the field
hoopers practice since the season is soon
commercials depict winners and losers
and I know my time is yet to come, waiting
on the side of the road for the wrecker.
