Inappropriate

within moments of awareness
we buckle under not wanting
to seek our illumination or that
which we have been told is truth;
for in the telling, comes the lie
and in the lie is the disappointment
in the honor of the moment that
takes away our courage to believe;
and when that has vanished, the
tarnished cauldron in which our
lives had been cooked appears
as it did in childish dreams and
our sanctions lives become as
inappropriate as the awareness.
