of the dead who did nothing to stop it...
allowed it to fester and grow until it boiled
and spilled on the streets of all the towns,
their residents who supported it happening,
we were decent folks once a long time ago
when life was simple and carefree... it was
a time of walking the streets unaffraid and
unmolested by stranngers who walked
in our communities unannounced... it was
a time of innocence as we knew not the
pain of growing old and having to come
to terms with someone else's legacies...
it was a time when one honored one's word
as much as one honored one's life and one's
family, laying down one's life to protect
them both... it was a time where life and
all its components weighed heavily on
those who protected us, our thoughts and
our freedoms to become what we wanted
rather than what was expected in order to
casarry on the traditions that did not work.
