winter is around another
cool and cold are
season's cousins yet
we weep for spring
but not for summer
wearing clothes that
fit from old closets.

Measure mythoughts quickly
for surely they
will disappear
as quickly as
an arrow flies
and is lodged
into its prey and
is no longer.
