a lizard with a blue stripe
walked by my location today
on his way to his hiding place
behind the newly created
front porch steps... and,
wondered why I was outside
on such a hot and humid day.
I let him know I was staining
the deck and he asked why.
I told him we were selling the
house and he laughed at me
and my sweaty attitude and
as he scurried away told me
to let the new owners stain the
deck if they have a mind to.
