Who

trickling down they say it will come

who is they?

it must start at the top of something

and like water flow downhill,

but that presupposes rainfall and

we have had none for a while...

trickling down they say it will come

all concern is on the negative

where orders and blame are

barked down the ranks...

we wonder why?

mud slides from the hills pour

down into the valley

we take shelter in trees like

the animals before us...

we have no tails nor instincts

just common sense prevails,

we conjecture who?

trickling down they say it will come

jobs and money they exclaim

but first it is always the wealthy

who much be convinced to do the same,

why bother?
