but relish our
opinions as imperfect
as they may
sometimes be;
we are adamant in
our reconciliation
for us to carry, but,
take no joy in acting;
we live off the land,
off ourselves, and
off each other, living
the dream as it was
meant to be for us;
we raised unclenched
hands in protest, hoping
for a return to the
"way it were" before
we let the rest of the
world know our secrets
in taking advantage of
weaknesses in ourselves.
