what our hearts acknowledge
as we age and grow closer
to the life soon left behind;
but, it is this cycle
a most enduring quality
forcing us to focus
on spheres of influence
we know while
leaving all else for others
who have a wide scope
and resources but still
we must pay the price for
not being at home.
