Devil's Ear

                                                                     we slip away
                                                           into the night
                                                uncovering
                                   its mysteries
                          of sights
            and sounds
and lovers
whispering
         promises into
                       the Devil's Ear,
                                    lamenting
                                           the fading
                                                    dark as it
                                                            slowly turns
