deaf and dumb sit
inside me
like silent partners
itching
to say something
to advise
to direct
all in an effort
to deceive me
into thinking
my life
no longer
represents his life
and
we should correct
the misdirection
before
damage is done
but
that has already
been done
unfortunately
by my inability
to speak
or listen.
