an innocent "hi" flashed
across the screen hooking
me with apprehensive curiosity
and without a second thought
was engrossed in conversation
with a long haired lady from the west
and belong long realized much
was in common between us
as we shared our stories
much like close friends do;
we were miles apart
and ages too
although none of that
seemed to matter
and before long
we were both wondering
when the next words
would come along to which
we could add and return;
it was a special bond
that hardly ever happens
but when it does,
a special light turns on
inside your soul telling you
this one's a keeper.
