life yields to death just as
nothingness yields to birth,
from whence did we come
and into what do we go?
unknown and uncertain
are our answers with only
only truth to guide our path;
yet, truth is illusive and is
controlled by those who
want it to be their way;
we pray for enlightenment
and receive silence as if
we were not heard or
quite possibly ignored,
reaffirming that death is
always within our grasp.
