as does the Sahara and the green
we see today will last all year;
within the waters of time, we sail
the lands of sand as they shift
from north to south and back;
palm trees stand and bend as is
their nature in a storm but always
seem to remain well rooted;
we live and die as if it is nothing
special knowing the next generations
will always be doing the same;
we learn nothing from the valley
from the rain or the Sahara in our
quest for a complete understanding.
