Survival

life opened its eyes and became
molded and shaped by design
fearful but encouraged by sin
punished and embarrassed
learning along the way
keeping the faith mostly
it grew and marveled noting
where it had come from
and what it needed to do but
ignored those who ignored
and who have turned backs
forgetting the unification of
life needed for their survival.
