and the whole world watches like HD is falling
but to our rescue they arrive
starved vulchers with Euros
wanting to buy the statue because it faces east;
carpetbaggers and the one percent
who have the cash to buy, dance in the streets
of the city wearing new shoes, drunk
on the spirits of apple wine and not really
caring if they wake up tomorrow or not.
