Socialism

conditioned...  we all are...  or, so it seems

to live our lives a certain way that conforms,

that purports not to live as we may choose

but how others have chosen it to be for us;

decisions have been selected in how we eat,

or what we eat and how we cook it...

decisions have been reached in what we wear,

and in what we buy including that which we

sell and to whom it is sold...  we live in

houses or apartments, large or small, it matters not

butg not in caves or under water...  yet,

as the population grows where will it all go?

our dead are buried or cremated and if the later

is expected, we pour the ashes back into the soil

in the hopes a multitude of flowers will grow;

we sing only the songs that are acceptable

pray only the prayers that have been allowed

and worship only where we have been instructed

as failure to obey these rules will result in

repraisals that few could comprehend or imagine;

conditioned...  we all are...  it is a fact

and we all comply as if it is our sworn duty

to do so and we encourage others to do likewise

or at least convey that impression we are...

we formulate no opinions nor give advice

we reply in kind only when we are spoken to

we seek nothing in return for our compliance

except the right to live as they want us to live.
