What Matters
It matters not
what was said,
It matters not
what was done.
It matters not
what we feared,
It matters not
what has been,
Only today matters
and how we survived
To get here… forgetting, forgiving,
Is all part of it
and our persistence
Is our strength and
why we never
Acted on what might
have been;
Remaining… so, we could enjoy
Our today's as each
one leads
To the only future
we need
Or ever really
desired…
